I politely disagree with your comment nnicc. I am an artist who sells her work and I do not ever use a grid. Some artists use a grid to draw, some don't. It has nothing to do with being real. In some instances such as scaling an image down or up, it is simply more practical.

Sorry, it was just a joke, I didn't mean to offend. I was talking about the grid on the reference picture.
I was trying to say that, in my opinion, you are a "real artist", I'm a fan of your works and I watch you here on dA. I think I should use a grid too, but I'm too lazy (drawing for me is an hobby, even if an important one, and I never sold any of my works).
I apologize if my comment was offensive in some way.
