Hi there, I drew this one before xmas, it was a gift so I had to wait till after xmas to post it. I decided to add in a smaller image, he's kinda sitting on his own shoulder
 , oh and the BG was a lot of fun to create. 11 x 14 inch Vellum Bristol Graphite 2b, h, b, 3b Tissue, blending sticks 60+ hrs EDIT: Thank you so very much for all the beautiful comments on this portrait and the many favorites, I appreciate you taking the time to visit!  Here are a few wip images: [link] here are a couple of close up's: [link] Oh and I would recommend the Vellum Bristol paper, It has such a nice texture to it and yet it's also very smooth, perfect for portraits, a 2b mechanical pencil is also perfect for drawing details (always has a sharp point). Plain tissue for blending mid tones and a blending stick for blending small areas like the lips and eyeballs... Happy New Year my Friends!!! ~Linda |
